Intermediate Criminal Behavioral Profiling (VCI200)

This course will provide law enforcement officers with innovative techniques that have been proven to help solve signature, violent, and serial criminal cases. Officers will be led step by step through the profiling process, from the mindsets of violent killers and sex offenders to actual profiling steps.

Dr. Schurman-Kauflin has discovered through her own cases and interviews with 17 convicted sadistic serial killers that there are several different types of sadistic offenders. The doctor created specific, never before seen profiles for these offenders. Officers will be introduced to these new profiles which they can immediately use in their case work.

Female violent offenders are growing in number. Officers are taught the ten steps developed by Dr. Schurman-Kauflin which police can use when faced with such cases. These profiles and ten steps have been used successfully to close serial cases.

Officer Quotes on Dr. Schurman-Kauflin's Training

"Dr. DSK brings an unbelievable amount of know how to the classroom. Her ability to create an accurate profile for the perpetrator, from the investigation and the crime scene, is proof that Criminal Profiling is a tool that can help Law Enforcement close complex cases that may have otherwise been thought of as unsolvable. “
Detective A. A. Tabatabaie
Fairfax County Police Department

"The intermediate criminal behavioral profiling course was excellent for an experienced investigator. I had my entire section, which consists of the the Violent Crime Unit, Sex Crimes Unit and the Domestic Violence Unit attend this class. Detectives from all three units found this presentation gave insight into the minds of these dangerous predators."
Lt. Craig Chrzanowski
Commander Crimes Against Persons Section
Scottsdale Police Department

"The VCI intermediate profiling course is the perfect choice for both experienced and new investigators. Doctor Schurman-Kauflin provides students with an excellent knowledge base for the conduct of sadistic killer investigations. She also explains how to integrate the profile into the investigative process. Most courses that contain this much information take 2 or 3 days, which makes it difficult for those carrying a heavy caseload. Dr. Schurman-Kauflin understands this and manages to compress all of the information into a single day at a reasonable price. You cannot find a better value for your training budget."
Robert Kemmet - Detective
Oklahoma City Police Department
Criminal Intelligence - TRAIS Coordinator

" As the Detective Division supervisor I found the class is a must for any officer investigating serial crimes. The basic guidelines for profiling given in the class could save an investigator hundreds of hours by knowing whom to consider the most likely suspect".
Detective Kent Borcherding
Shawnee OK Police Department

"I found the Behavioral Profiling Seminar offered by the Dr. Schurman-Kauflin to be an extremely valuable tool for all law enforcement officers, including Railroad Police. In the very unique area of Railroad law enforcement, we encounter many bizarre people including those wanted by public law enforcement for serial killings, emotionally disturbed persons, stalkers, the homeless, rail riding gang members and illegal aliens. The ability to profile the crimes committed by such people makes it much easier to assist other agencies that are striving to solve those crimes. It also enhances the safety of our officers when they encounter such people. I would highly recommend this class to other Railroad Police agencies as both an investigative tool and for our officer's survival."
Randy A. Ellison, Senior Special Agent, BNSF Railway Police

"The material used was perfectly selected and held everyone's attention. The case files used in this presentation detailed the many aspects utilitzed in the profiling process."
Detective Tim Ashley, Lawrenceville Georgia PD

"The instructor was very knowledgeable of her field and gave great information on perpetrators involved in various crimes that relate to our daily job."
Warren Cotton, Birmingham Alabama PD

"I truly enjoyed the seminar. It was a real eye opener. .. I was really impressed with the accuracy of the profiles you shared. It's just amazing how much you can gleam from a persons' behavior. Keep up the great work, you are a true asset to law enforcement."
Officer Christine D'Alena, Irvine CA Police PD

"Myself and several other Investigators from my department attended Dr. Schurman-Kauflin's Intermediate Criminal Behavioral Profiling presentation in Aurora Colorado on November 4, 2005. The presentation was excellent. After the presentation several of us talked about the information and how valuable it is to our investigations. We all realized we would truly appreciate more time in what Dr. Schurman-Kauflin referred to as the "work shop" portion. When she presented photographs of a crime scene and then asked us to profile the suspect. This was outstanding and left us wanting for more. I realize this is an excellent instructor technique and it worked/works well."
Investigator Bruce Isaacson, Arapahoe County Colorado Sheriff's Office

"As a homicide detective, former coroner, and 27 year member of my police department, you provided me with information on female and child serial killers that was very new to me. Your hard work and dedication to our chosen work is obvious, I feel that your seminar would be very beneficial to anyone assigned to work a homicide."
Captain Joseph Todd, Connersville Indiana PD

"I would definitely recommend this course to other officers. It has great information, is well organized and well presented."
Goshen, Indiana PD officer

"I found Dr. Schurman-Kauflin very knowledgeable in her field and a very interesting speaker"
Peru, Indiana PD officer
